Josh Rosen’s deep ball is still really pretty

Don’t let the fact that it is May distract you from getting pumped up about a handful of clips from Miami Dolphins organized team activities. The Dolphins continue to grind through their offensive install under a new staff, but there’s all kinds of promise in South Florida worth getting excited for.

How excited? Can fans seriously get pumped over video evidence in T-shirts and shorts? In all honesty, it’s necessary to stay logical and have an even-keeled approach. But the offseason is also an eternal spring of hope and optimism and no one deserves to have their parade rained on.

So when a recent “Dolphins Daily” included a clip of Miami’s new quarterback Josh Rosen cutting loose a deep ball up the sideline that hit wide receiver Jakeem Grant in stride, it is OK to admit if your heart fluttered.

With the deep bombs of Dan Marino fresh in the minds of Dolphins fans, courtesy of NFL Network, one can only hope that the Dolphins get these kinds of passes from Rosen when the cards are on the table and they’re playing for keeps.

But in the meantime, Miami fans can let their imaginations run with it. That’s what the offseason is all about.
