A police cordon has been set up at an underpass near to East Kilbride town cente following an early morning disturbance.
An area at Telford Road in The Murray is currently sealed off to the public with an officer guarding the scene as CID carry out their investigations.
It is understood a serious incident occurred there shortly before 3am this morning.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police are making enquiries following a disturbance at the Telford Road area of East Kilbride which occured at around 2.55am."
