Arsenal's clash with Wolves has been called off as Covid-19 continues to ravage the Premier League.
The Wolves camp has been hit hard by the coronavirus and injuries over the festive period, with the club making a request to the Premier League for the Gunners game to be postponed.
The Premier League announced the match had been called off on Sunday, in a statement reading: "The Premier League Board accepted the postponement application as Wolverhampton Wanderers does not have the required number of players available for the match (13 outfield players and one goalkeeper) as a result of a number of Covid-19 cases and injuries at the club."
Wolves also confirmed the news on social media, tweeting: "Our trip to Arsenal on Tuesday 28th December has been postponed, with Bruno Lage having an insufficient number of players available to fulfil the fixture."

This is the second match in the space of a few days that has been called off involving Wolves after their clash with Watford was postponed on Boxing Day due to Covid cases within the Hornets camp.
Wolves currently have a long list of casualties with Hwang Hee-chan, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Willy Boly, Pedro Net, Jonny Castro Otto and Yerson Mosquera all on the sidelines.
Fabio Silva and Mosquera both received positive Covid-19 tests around the time of Wolves’ 0-0 draw against Chelsea on December 19, but it’s believed the squad has been hit by a number of further cases in recent days.
Premier League chiefs apologised to fans for the postponment.
They said: "The Board was able to make its decision in advance of the fixture to give clarity to the affected clubs and their fans. We apologise for the inconvenience and disruption caused to supporters' festive plans."
Wolves' next match is against Manchester United at Old Trafford on January 3, a fixture which is now up in the air given the news.
