Forza Horizon 6’s release might be a few months from now, but the hype has already started building up. The racing game that took the world by storm is gearing up for its sixth iteration, and we’ve finally started getting updates on its release. Set to release on 19 May 2026, the game has two special editions in addition to the base game.
Today’s objective is simple: Go through all three editions (base game included) and help pick out the best one for you. Should you play it safe and stick with the standard edition? Or is the premium upgrade worth dropping some big bucks? And how much is each edition exactly? I’ll have all that and more in today’s piece, so make sure to stay till the end.
All Forza Horizon 6 Editions

Everyone’s favourite racing game will receive its sixth edition pretty soon, and it comes with two additional packages for those willing. After the Standard Edition, we have the Deluxe and Premium Upgrade versions. They do get pricier as they go up the list, but the rewards get much sweeter as well. Let’s dive into what each package has to offer.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition of Forza Horizon 6 is priced at $69.99, typical for a AAA game. It will feature just the base game without any additional add-ons. This is the best pick for gamers who are new to the franchise and aren’t sure how much they want to invest in it.
You can always upgrade to a higher package at a later date. Since the Standard Edition does not include Early Access, you’ll be able to play the game on May 19 along with everyone else. It’s also worth noting that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get the standard edition of the game for free on launch, so they don’t have to buy it separately.
Deluxe Edition
Forza’s Deluxe Version is a bit pricer at $99.99, but it also offers a few additional perks. With it, you’ll receive the Welcome Pack and Car Pass, along with the full base game. Here’s what both of those perks hold:
- The Car Pass unlocks 30 extra cars for use
- The Welcome Pack includes 5 pre-tuned cars, free Player House, one-time Golden Ticket (free Autoshow car), and 3 tickets for Common or Rare clothing
The Deluxe Edition is good if you want a little extra edge, but don’t want to spend too heavily on the game. You will get that feeling of having something better than casual players, but the excitement stops there, unfortunately. This version does not include Early Access as well.
Premium Edition
The final edition for Forza Horizon 6 is the Premium Edition, loaded with add-ons and a variety of perks. First and foremost, the Premium Version gives you Early Access to the game, meaning you will receive it on May 15 instead of May 19. A four-day headstart could mean a lot if used correctly. Other than that, it includes:
- VIP Membership
- Italian Passion Car Pack
- Time Attack Car Pack (Car Pack 2)
- Expansion 1
- Expansion 2
All that on top of the existing perks from the lower versions. That’s a lot of value added onto your base game, but how much will it cost? The Premium Edition for Forza Horizon 6 will set you back $119.99, which is a little steep, but great for car enthusiasts who want the full experience.
If you do decide to get either the Standard or Deluxe Editions for now, you can always upgrade to Premium whenever you want. Plus, if you pre-order the game, you will also receive a Ferrari J50 completely free. So don’t wait too long and take advantage of these packages while they last.
