Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Miami has been placed on pause, The Independent can confirm.
Centered around several wealthy women in Miami, the show’s seventh season — which featured Guerdy Abraira, Adriana De Moura, Lisa Hochstein, Stephanie Shojaee, Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Julia Lemigova, Marysol Patton and Kiki Barth — finished airing in October.
RHOM has had a shaky history, moving from Bravo to Peacock in 2021 (following an eight-year pause), but returning to the network for seasons six and seven. A recent Variety report suggested the franchise was the least viewed among all Real Housewives installments, including Orange County, Beverly Hills, and Salt Lake City.
Still, Miami was known for delivering iconic moments and placing a mostly Latina cast in the spotlight. RHOM also featured the first-ever openly LGBT+ cast member in Lemigova, who shared her marriage with former tennis star Martina Navratilova with viewers.
Devotees were outraged by the pause with fan account @bestofbravo deeming it the “WORST NEWS EVER,” before adding to their Instagram post, “BLAMING EVERYONE WHO DIDN’T WATCH.”
Some fans accused the network of not knowing what the fans want and begged for RHOM to stay.
“RHOM has been significantly better than the past 3 seasons of RHOBH and I’ll stand by that,” one fan wrote while another added, “The fact that RHONY is still a go and Miami is on pause is actually wild! RHONY reboot sucks.”
“@bravotv move RHOM back to @peacock since yall don’t know what to do with it OR what the fans want. Thank you!!!” another chimed in.
Others voiced their concern over the implications of losing the network’s main Latina cast.
“Canceling RHOM isn’t just losing a show, it’s losing a space where Latina voices, culture, and stories were front and center. In a world that’s trying to erase us, visibility matters more than ever. We deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated on every screen, not erased when it’s convenient,” another fan wrote.
Season seven ended with De Moura’s bombshell claim during the reunion that she and Lemigova were intimate during a season four cast trip, leading to the souring of their friendship. De Moura also claimed Lemigova had an affair with a “Haitian mortician,” a moment that quickly went viral.
“You used to take him to the motel, pay for the motel, bring the champagne and had to give him a coffee machine as a gift!” De Moura continued.
Lemigova later confirmed that she did have a relationship with the mortician, but long before she was married to Navratilova, per Page Six.
