Brandon Brooks on absence of Lane Johnson, ‘new contract’ playing a role in panic attack

Brandon Brooks is an All-Pro right guard, but he’s also human and this past Sunday, his illness interfered with his job after he was forced to leave the Eagles game against the Seahawks.

Brooks revealed on Monday that he suffered a panic attack on Sunday morning and it prevented him from finishing the Eagles home loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

On Tuesday, Brooks opened up more to the media at the NovaCare Complex and the Pro-Bowler was candid when revealing some of the triggers that bring on the anxiety attacks.

Brooks has played almost perfect football this season according to Pro Football Focus, yet he admitted on Tuesday that the stress of his new contract and living up to the lofty status, can be a definite trigger.

Brooks was also honest in revealing that Lane Johnson’s absence also caused some uncertainty and anxiety heading into Sunday.

Brooks stated that he will play Sunday in Miami, telling the media that “the show must go on.”
