Bradley Walsh tells famous 'influencer' to leave The Chase studio

A contestant who was told to leave the studio on the latest instalment of The Chase is actually a social media star with hundreds of thousands of followers.

Bradley Walsh hosted as usual on Friday as four strangers entered the ITV studio in the hopes of walking away with some cash. They were Lee, Lana, Rebecca and Bill.

Lee was up first against the Vixen aka Jenny Ryan. He had a decent cash-builder and returned to the team with £5,000.

Next up was Lana. When Bradley asked her what she does for a living, she said she is an "online content creator", before the 62-year-old host then asked her to explain what exactly that is.

Lana said she creates content including videos to be used online before Bradley asked: "So are you one of them... influencers?"

It turns out Lana is just that, as she is quite famous on Youtube, among other platforms. She presents hair and beauty tutorials, as well as skincare and fashion tips, and has almost half a million subscribers.

She has amassed more than 1.4m likes on TikTok, and also has 30,000 followers on Instagram. But sadly for Lana, she was caught by the Chaser and was told by Bradley she would be leaving empty-handed.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
