Bradley Walsh forced to object to 'unfair' The Chase question

Bradley Walsh was compelled to object to a question asked during Monday's instalment of The Chase.

The presenter, 62, welcomed four new players to the ITV studio for today's episode. They were Mike from Cardiff, Abby from South Cambridgeshire, Kelly from Mansfield, and Amit from Flintshire.

Mike was sadly sent home, as was Kelly, leaving just Abby and Amit to play against Anne Hegerty in the final.

But before Amit reached the last chase, he was asked a question some viewers said was "unfair". Bradley asked him "Which comedian came as runner-up to winner Harry Redknapp in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here in 2018?"

Of the possible answers, Amit chose C - Emily Atack. Bradley agreed, before asking: "Or did she win it in her own right?"

Abby said she was confident Emily had taken part in the same season as Harry Redknapp, before Anne interjected with: "It was Harry Redknapp, then Emily Atack, then John Barrowman, then Fleur East, then Jamie McVey, then Nick Knowles... then me".

Realising Anne had starred in that series, Bradley's face dropped and he shouted: "Objection! Objection!", to which Anne replied: "The questions come out at random, there's not a lot I can do about that".

Fans at home also seemed to take issue with the question. On Twitter, Cheryl said: "Hardly a fair question that", while Emma said: "Of course she's getting that one right!"

However other viewers saw no problem with it as Charlotte said: "Anne would've known it anyway".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
