Bradley Chubb reveals ‘biggest regret’ with Broncos and gives his take on Russell Wilson

Bradley Chubb recently spoke with Tyreek Hill on the wide receiver’s It Needed To Be Said podcast on a variety of topics, including Chubb’s time spent with the Denver Broncos.

Chubb played four and a half years with the Broncos before being traded to the Miami Dolphins mid-season last fall. In an interview with his Dolphins teammate, Chubb revealed one of his biggest regrets to Hill.

“I ain’t going to lie to you bro, that’s one of my biggest regrets in Denver — not beating the Chiefs in a Denver Broncos uniform,” Chubb told Hill. “Y’all always did it, bro, you always found a way.”

Chubb played for the Broncos from 2018-2022; Hill played for the Chiefs from 2016-2021. Kansas City has won 15 straight games against Denver. Chubb never beat the Chiefs and Hill never lost to the Broncos.

Later in the interview, Chubb was asked about quarterback Russell Wilson and his often-mocked “Let’s Ride” catchphrase from last season.

“He didn’t say it around the facility that much, he just said it on camera, man,” Chubb told Hill.

Chubb believes that Wilson was unfairly criticized last season, with fans and pundits going after his personal life and personality instead of the QB’s on-field performance.

“It’s crazy, bro, because he do the absolute most that he can possibly do to make sure that he’s the best he possibly can be, you know what I mean?” Chubb said. “He doesn’t miss a step. So when he has a fluke year like this, you just have to chalk it off — bro, you had a bad year. But it gets so [criticized] because of who he is, who he’s been, what he’s done.”

Wilson joined the team last spring with nine Pro Bowl selections, a Super Bowl win and 319 touchdowns on his resume. Fans had big expectations for Wilson and when things did not go well, they turned on the QB quickly. Chubb appreciated the way Wilson handled the difficult season.

“It was dope to see how he just stayed the same person throughout it all,” Chubb said. “It was unfortunate that we just couldn’t reach the potential that we all thought we was going to be.”

Hill also gave Wilson a shout-out in the interview. Chubb and Hill both seemed to agree that the quarterback was unfairly mocked last season. If Wilson has a bounce-back season in 2023, the critics will likely fade away.
