Brad Keselowski attempts five-wide pass on SVG, triggering pileup crash

On Lap 118, a chaotic restart saw the field fanning three and four-wide as they raced through the first set of corners. RFK Racing's Brad Keselowski was bold enough to try five-wide, but there simply wasn't enough room for it.

He sent it deep onto the apron, but quickly realized he was running out of space. He touched the inside wall and collided with Shane van Gisbergen beside him. SVG went spinning at the exit of Turn 2, causing a multi-car pileup.

All of the playoff drivers avoided being swept up in it, but it ended one of the strongest oval runs yet by SVG. He has qualified 10th (a career-best on an oval), and scored his first oval stage points.

Kyle Busch, Daniel Suarez, and Justin Haley also plowed into the wreck, with Suarez's car actually jumping up off the ground.

The incident nearly collected all three Trackhouse cars as their one remaining playoff driver, Ross Chastain, barely avoided joining his teammates in the pileup.

Suarez, van Gisbergen, and Haley all had to go behind the wall due to the significant damage they sustained. Both Busch and Keselowski continued with damage.

The race also featured a shocking incidents between JGR teammates, as Denny Hamlin dumped Ty Gibbs after becoming frustrated with the way he was racing his championship-contending teammates.
