A teenager has been charged with murder over an alleged "family" incident that left one woman dead and a child seriously injured in Melbourne's southeast.
The 15-year-old boy has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder following a stabbing at a Narre Warren South home on November 30, police confirmed on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old woman was flown to hospital and later died, while a 70-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl survived after suffering serious injuries.
Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said earlier this month the incident appeared to involve family members.
The accused killer was also hurt and taken to hospital under police guard.
He is expected to appear before a Children's Court on Tuesday.
