A four-year-old boy has been left seriously injured after a collision outside a south London Tube station.

Police were called to a collision between a pedestrian and car outside Wimbledon Park Tube station at 11.38am Sunday morning.

The pedestrian, a four-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital by medics where he remains in a “potentially life-threatening condition”.

His parents are aware, said police.

A police spokesperson said: “The driver of the car stopped at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish how the collision occurred.”

Pictures from the scene showed a police cordon in place near to the station on Arthur Road.
