Boy, 14, rushed to hospital after being 'pulled out the water' at River Kelvin

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after he fell into the River Kelvin.

The incident unfolded at around 5.35pm (Sunday, June 14) near Lochgilp Street in Maryhill.

The 14-year-old was pulled out of the water after falling in and was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Around 5.35pm on Sunday, 14 June, police were called to a report of a 14 year-old boy pulled out the water near Lochgilp Street after falling in.

"He's been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children to be checked over."
