Boy, 13, fighting for life after horror collision outside Stockwell Tube station

A teenage boy is fighting for life after being struck by a vehicle in south London.

The victim, aged 13, was taken to hospital after being struck near Stockwell Station at 7.45am on Monday.

His condition has been described as critical by police.

Stockwell Road has been closed as paramedics treat the victim.

Vauxhall MP Florence Eshalomi tweeted: “Deeply concerned about the serious crash that happened on Clapham Road this morning in which a pedestrian was badly injured.

“The road remains closed between South Lambeth Rd & Stockwell Rd.

“Please avoid the area for now. Contact police if you have any information.”

A Met Police spokesman said the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.

“The boy’s next of kin have been informed.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian at the junction between Stockwell Road and the A203, SW8.

“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a child at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
