Boston’s Jaylen Brown ranked inside CBS Sports top five small forwards for 2022-23

As ranking season continues with sorting assessments of the NBA’s teams and players as they are projected for the 2022-23 season abound in league media outlets, star Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown finds himself in elite company according to CBS Sports.

In their assessment of the top small forwards in the NBA for 2022-23, the Georgia native cracks the top five at the No. 5 spot, with CBS Sports’ Jack Maloney crediting the Cal-Berkeley product’s work ethic for the lofty ranking. “Brown’s Twitter handle, “FCHWPO,” stands for faith, consistency, hard work pays off; following that mantra has helped Brown grow from a surprise selection at No. 3 in the (2016) NBA draft into an elite wing,” suggests the analyst.

“Last season he was one of just seven players to record a 40-point game in both the regular season and the playoffs, and he finished 13th in the league with 23.6 points per game,” he adds.

With Brown often the best Celtics player on the court in the 2022 NBAFinals, we are inclined to nearly agree with this assessment.

In it, Brown just ahead of Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton and just behind Los Angeles Clippers veteran Paul George, th elatter of whom ought to be ranked just below the Celtics wing in our estimation.
