A SCOTLAND fan has gone viral after leaving two US podcasters in hysterics after shouting “freedom” when discussing the American Revolutionary War.

Thousands from the Tartan Army have taken over Boston to watch Scotland play their first two Group C matches at the World Cup.

Clips from Scotland fans ranging from singing in bars across the city to discovering the famous “Boston cop slide” have gone viral on social media as they have lived up to the nation's party-loving reputation.

However, one Scotland fan has gone viral for leaving the hosts of the Take of the Town podcast in hysterics after delivering a “brilliant” one-liner when discussing that England fans will be in Boston next week.

The Take of the Town is a self-described “on-the-road sports show” as they set up a temporary podcast in the streets of Boston and were joined by a Scotland fan.

The short clip posted to TikTok, which has racked up almost 300,000 views already, starts with the Tartan Army fan saying: “I’m a proud Scotsman, a proud Scotland fan.

“I’ve been following Scotland since I was yay high.”

The two podcasters then move on to discuss the Tartan Army taking over the city while the World Cup is in town.

The pair asked the Scotsman if he was part of the thousands of Scots who attended the Red Sox’s games at Fenway Park, to which he replied that the atmosphere was “incredible”.

“The way Scottish fans have infiltrated the city. I learned three chants,” one of the hosts said.

The Scotland fan replied that the “big thing” to remember is that “no Scotland, no party”.

The fan then went on to say: “We’ve taken your hearts and we do that [because] we want to be the best fans in the world, because [I] hate to break it to you cause the English [are] coming next week.”

The two podcast hosts then asked: “Is the parade here, is it overkill for you guys. Is it a little too New England?

“Are we not over the Revolutionary War?”

The Scotsman then replied: “You guys done it 250 years ago. We’re still trying to break away from the English ourselves.

“So good on you.”

The two Americans then burst out laughing as they can be seen saying “let’s go” while shaking the Scots' hand.

The short clip then ends with all three of them singing: “No Scotland, no party.”

Despite the clip only being up since Monday, hundreds of people have flocked to the comment section of the video to share their “love” for the Scottish fan.

One person said: “Best interview by far.”

A second commented: “Brilliant your doing Scotland proud, love being Scottish.”

While a third added: “So proud seeing Scotland being so welcomed.”

Meanwhile, one person coined: “Petition to change it from New England to New Scotland lol.”

With more people sharing that they are planning to root for Scotland in this years tournament as one person said: “That's it. I'm rooting for Scotland the rest of the world cup.”

While another added: “That's it I'm moving to Scotland.”
