Boston given pub 'restock' warning by German icon amid potential Scotland match

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he's desperate to see a Scotland v Germany Round of 32 showdown in Boston.

Scotland need a point to be certain of qualification against Brazil in Miami tomorrow, but they could also get through as long as they don't go down to a heavy defeat to the South Americans.

The highest likelihood at the moment is for Scotland's Round of 32 path to be against Germany, who have already won Group E and know they will be playing their first knock-out game at the Gillette Stadium in Boston.

And former Liverpool managerial legend Klopp reckons it could be a party for the ages if the German fans meet the Tartan Army in Boston. He said: "Germany v Scotland would definitely be a cool game.

"It's already clear where it's going to be - in Boston, and they will have had time to restock the pubs by then because I know the Scots drank them dry the last time they were there. And if they were to come back for a second time, they would face the Germans, and we are known for our heavy drinking too!

"From that perspective and also in terms of the game itself, it would be great. Scotland are an unpleasant and intense opponent, but one that can certainly be beaten. So, we'll just have to wait and see who it actually is. Basically, everything is a bit like a magic carpet right now. We have seen what a difference a single goal can make.

"I've experienced that a few times myself, how the difference between feeling amazing and feeling absolutely terrible can be a single moment."
