Boston Celtics voted as having best offseason in NBA by ESPN panel

On Tuesday, the Boston Celtics saw themselves voted to have had the best offseason in the NBA in the opinion of a panel of scouts, coaches, and executives put together by ESPN and written up by Tim Bontemps. It was, among the many things projected and assessed by the panel, the one area where the Celtics truly dominated compared to their peers around the league.

The trade for Indiana Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon and signing of veteran swingman Danilo Gallinari (injury scares of course notwithstanding) were seen as the hands-down best offseason of any of the league’s 30 teams.

To talk over that assessment, the folks over at the NBC Sports Boston “Early Edition” show Amina Smith and DJ Bean linked up with The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about said offseason, the Celtics’ ceiling after making those moves, and keeping Jaylen Brown in Boston.
