Borna Barisic on why Rangers snubbed Celtic partying as star's agent responds to transfer interest

Borna Barisic revealed Rangers have put all celebrations on hold until they reach their ultimate goal - winning the Premiership title.

The Croatian left back has been a standout performer for Steven Gerrard 's side as they go head-to-head with Celtic in the top flight flag race.

He produced another man-of-the-match performance in their landmark 2-1 win at Parkhead - a first since 2010 - as he bagged two assists.

His displays have not gone unnoticed with Serie A giants Roma and AC Milan interested.

Record Sport Online exclusively revealed on Monday night the defender is "happy" at Ibrox despite admiring glances from Serie A.

And Barisic 's agent Ives Charakun has now spoken about the interest.

He said: "At this point it is Roma who have interest in him. There's nothing more I can say at this point."

Barisic himself has insisted he's only concentrating on wrestling the title away from Celtic at this point and not on any future move to Italy.

And he's revealed there were no rowdy celebrations behind the scenes after their win on Sunday.

Barisic said: "There was a lot of singing in the dressing room after the game and it was fun.

"But as far as celebrations go...there were none.

"Immediately after the game, everyone was allowed home because we have a few days off.

"This win against Celtic was only one big match that we won. If we become champions at the end of the season, we will do our celebrating then.

"The manager is satisfied with my game at the moment. I feel in really good shape and it's actually a shame we have a break.

"I am pleased that I was able to contribute to the success of the team and the victory over our biggest rival.

"It's going to the end of the season and it will uncertain who wins it. But by winning this match we have proved we are ready for big things."
