PM Peppa Pig’s ear
Boris Johnson’s shambolic and rambling speech at the CBI conference showed the Prime Minister is losing the plot.
His embarrassingly long, frantic and panicked search for the right page and ridiculous diversion about visiting Peppa Pig World proves he is a clueless leader.
Johnson’s muddled speech comes on top of yet another broken promise. This time to poorer pensions who, despite National Insurance rises, may have to sell their homes to pay for social care under Tory plans.
Last night worried MPs from his own party were threatening to revolt against the changes and Johnson had to order them to back him.
The Tories are mired in sleaze and led by a man not up to the job.
Peppa Pig would make a more competent and trustworthy premier. Johnson is now the joke not the joker. People are laughing at him, no longer with him.

Power switch
The energy crisis is worsening when Bulb, Britain’s seventh-biggest supplier, on the verge of collapse is to be taken over by an administrator.
Used by 1.7 million customers, the firm would have been the largest to fail.
The hands-off Conservative Ministers were caught asleep at the wheel. This is the time to consider a permanent publicly-funded, run and owned supplier to ride out highs and lows in world wholesale prices.
The rest of Britain could learn from Mark Drakeford’s Labour deal in Wales with Plaid Cymru to explore establishing a public energy company putting people before profits.
