Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds wedding picture - hidden truths by body language expert

Gazing into each others eyes, Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds could be any normal newlyweds in their sweet wedding snap.

But their wedding will go down in history, not least because PM Boris became first Prime Minister to marry in office since Lord Liverpool married Mary Chester in 1822.

A Downing Street spokesman confirmed: "The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds were married yesterday afternoon in a small ceremony at Westminster Cat hedral.

"The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer."

Downing Street then released two snaps from the day - showing a radiant Carrie and a proud Boris looking very much in love.

Body language expert Judi James took a look at the pictures and delivered her verdict:

Carrie adopts what looks like a rather ‘leading’ pose here, gazing at her new husband with a head-tilt and a wide, teeth-baring, loving smile as though pushing him gently to get a suitably bride and groom style reaction from the PM.

Her torso is pressed into his in a gesture of physical as well as romantic attraction and for a couple not known for their easy-going or even synchronized PDAs she does seem to have got him to respond with a look of love and admiration here.

It’s Carrie looking the more confident and open when it comes to showing the world their love. Boris looks a lot more bashful and his smile involves closed lips. His torso pose is straighter and the free hand is curled into a fist, suggesting some camera-shyness here.
