A webpage has been set up by a Leeds resident angry over ongoing problems with the city's bin collection services.
@nikgreen, who regularly comments on Leeds bin colection problems on Guardian Leeds, has become so fed up with ongoing problems with bin collections in Leeds that he has decided to set up a forum called Leeds Bins. People can post their complaints and pictures and also contact local councillors.
On the webpage, Green writes:
"Over the last couple of years the quality and reliability of the service seems to have deteriorated. This year on a personal level I estimate that through strike or ineptitude we have missed over twenty two weekly refuse collections (black bin) and several fortnightly recycling (green bin) collection.
"I am not interested in "council bashing" or party politics tittle tattle, I simply want a service that we all pay for to be run efficiently and effectively, so we don't have to pick out way through three weeks refuse which has been scattered by animals or yobs, or navigate our way down streets where bins of all hues have been left out for weeks on end in the vain hope of collection."
