Bookmarked: Council uses blog to give people say on new website

Leeds council is using a collaborative blog set up by a Leeds resident to ask people's opinions on what the new council website should be like.

As reported here, blogger Mike Chitty set up Leeds Council's Web Development Project blog to ask what role the people of Leeds should have in shaping the development of the new web presence for the council.

The council is aiming to improve its www.leeds.gov.uk website and intranet at a cost of £1.8 million as demand for web services increases.

Now, Leeds council web content manager Lizzie Sanderson has written a couple of guest posts on Chitty's blog asking for people's feedback and ideas and to help to shape the future of the project.

Check out the posts here and have your say.

What would you like to be able to do or see on www.leeds.gov.uk?
