Bonnyrigg voted Scotland's 'most romantic town'

It's time to stick on some Luther Vandross, as Midlothian town Bonnyrigg has been voted the most romantic in the whole of Scotland according to new research.

Publisher Mills & Boon (makers of VERY romantic novels) looked at cities, towns, boroughs and countries across the UK to find the country's most romantically-named streets - with help from map specialists A-Z.

Right in time for Valentine's Day, the publishers selected the top 20 most romantic words in the English language, such as kiss, sweetheart and bliss.

By this measure they found that Edinburgh was the most romantic city in Scotland, while the Midlothian town of Bonnyrigg took the top spot for the towns in Scotland.

Mills and Boon had now commissioned authors to write short stories based on the most romantic places in the UK.

So there could be a place Bonnyrigg to be the chosen setting for a top romantic tale.
