CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announced to bring the recognised media personnel and their families for coverage under Ayushman Bharat Scheme for the purpose of health insurance.
The Haryana government will provide the benefits of health insurance facility to the media personnel on par with the government employees.
During the review meeting of Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme and other health insurance schemes, the chief minister also gave a green signal to the employees and pensioners to provide cashless facility to them under the health insurance scheme.
Haryana health minister Anil Vij joined the review meeting through VC.
During the meeting, it was decided to give the benefit of cashless health insurance scheme on the pattern of that which provided to government employees to the fighters of Azad Hind Fauj, people who were in jail during Emergency, people involved in Hindi movement and World War II prisoners and their dependents.
