Bon Jovi announce 2026 world tour following Jon Bon Jovi’s recovery from vocal surgery

Bon Jovi have announced a major world tour for 2026 — their first since frontman Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal cord surgery and subsequent recovery.

The Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band will return to the stage for a string of global dates, kicking off at New York’s Madison Square Garden in July before landing in London next September 4, 2026.

“There is a lot of joy in this announcement — joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said in a statement.

“I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring. I’m ready and excited.”

The tour will include four consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden, followed by performances at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Dublin’s Croke Park and Wembley Stadium in London.

The comeback follows Jon Bon Jovi’s extensive rehabilitation journey. In August, he opened about how his upcoming album Forever (Legendary Edition) was shaped by his recovery from vocal cord surgery.

After undergoing the procedure in 2022 and enduring an intensive rehab, the 63-year-old said he had to completely rethink his creative process.

“This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album borne out of necessity,” Jon shared in a statement to E! News.

“My vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in June 2024.”

Unable to handle the physical demands of touring, Jon instead channelled his energy into recording the new version of Forever, which arrives on October 24.

“I was singing well enough in the studio for the recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me,” he explained.

“ Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need..”

Those friends include Avril Lavigne, Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Ryan Tedder, and Lainey Wilson — all of whom feature on the 14-track project.

Expressing “tremendous joy and gratitude” for the collaboration, the singer, whose son Jake Bongiovi recently welcomed a baby girl with wife Millie Bobby Brown, added: “I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”

The Livin’ on a Prayer singer has previously spoken about how difficult his recovery was, admitting in 2024 that the process took far longer than expected. Still, he said he never considered walking away from music.

“I can always write another record. I’m not worried about my ability to write another song,” he told NPR. “I could have walked away. I just haven’t had to come to that conclusion because, as I said, the process and the progress are steady.”

Tickets for Bon Jovi’s UK and Ireland tour go on sale Friday, October 31 via bonjovi.com and LiveNation.co.uk.
