Bomb Disposal Unit investigate suspicious device found in South Dublin

A bomb disposal squad was called after a suspect device was discovered in South Dublin this morning.

Gardai and the Bomb Disposal Unit investigated the suspicious device which was found on the Bangor Road in Crumlin.

The area was cordoned off and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal was called.

The device was deemed non-viable by the EOD after examination.

A garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: “The services of the Army EOD team were requested who removed the device, which was subsequently discovered to be non-viable.”
