A body has been pulled from the water after a young dad went missing on a fishing trip with friends.
A search was launched of Winterley Pool Farm in Haslington, Cheshire, after family raised the alarm at around 1am on Sunday.
It is understood the young dad had been night fishing with his friends and cousins, but after receiving a phone call at around midnight, he disappeared.
An underwater search team located the body in the lake around 12 hours later at 12noon, reports StokeonTrent Live.
He has since been formally identified but his name has not been released.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers searching for a man who had gone missing whilst fishing at Winterley Pool Farm on Crewe Road in Haslington have found his body.
"The man was reported missing at around 1am on Sunday.
"Officers swiftly attended and began searching the area for the man.
"An underwater search team subsequently found a body in a lake at Winterley Pool Farm shortly after 12 noon that day.
"His family were informed and the body has since been formally identified as that of the missing man.
"His death is not believed to be suspicious. A case file will be prepared for the coroner."
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to the scene on May 30 at 1.13am by the fire brigade reporting that somebody was in the water.
"An ambulance an advanced paramedic, response vehicle and three members of Hazardous Area Response Team all attended."
