A teenager has been found dead at an address in Glasgow, with police treating the incident as "unexplained" while an investigation is carried out.

Officers locked down Kennishead Avenue, in the city's south side this morning, after police were called to the scene around 9.45am.

The body of a 19-year-old man was discovered and a probe into the death has now been launched, reports Glasgow Live.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the death of a 19-year-old man at a property on Kennishead Avenue in Glasgow shortly after 9.45am on Monday, September 19.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
