Body found in Lanarkshire during search for missing man

The body of a man has been found in Carluke, Police Scotland have confirmed.

Officers say the family of missing Lanarkshire man Kevin Coll have been informed.

The 56-year-old was reported missing from his home in Lanark earlier this week after he was last seen on Friday, August 5.

Police discovered the body at around 1pm this afternoon in the Woodhall Road area of Carluke.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson from the force said: "At around 1pm on Thursday, 18, August, 2022, the body of a man was found in the Woodhall Road area of Braidwood, Carluke.

"The family of missing man Kevin Coll (56) have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
