A body has been discovered in a rural patch of Milngavie.
Police confirmed the grim discovery at Mugdock country park this evening.
Locals in the area reported a police cordon outside the park and a number of police vehicles present at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police can confirmed a body was found at Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie on Tuesday July 2 2019.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
