Former The Only Way Is Essex star Bobby Norris has said he is often compared to Katie Price due to the amount of plastic surgery he has had.
The 39-year-old said he thought the pair were both honest about their experiences with having surgery done, which he felt was important to do.
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Norris said: “I think a lot of people think surgery is cheating, but there is a recovery to it, and it’s not a quick, easy thing.
“So I think it’s really important to be really honest, so it’s going to be strange to watch because they’ve actually filmed me having it done in the actual theatre, so I don’t know how I’m going to feel watching myself completely knocked out.
“Although it’s the best kip I ever have as an insomniac, a general anaesthetic, I love it…
“I’ve had about, oh gosh, eight or nine (operations) maybe… a lot of people compare me to Katie (Price), she’s like me though to be fair, she’s very open about it and honest.
“I just think because we do document it, I don’t see a shame in it, and I just think when you’ve got a platform and a profile, it’s important to be honest and show people the realities of it, and I’m not embarrassed or ashamed of it.”
He went on to warn that young people thinking about having surgery should wait until they are older.
Norris added: “I think 18 is, I mean, I can say it because I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of surgery, I think 18 is far too young.
“You’ve got to grow into yourself, and my facelift was never, and again, I don’t judge anyone for what they do, but I never was like this tragic man that walked up and went, ‘make me look 19’, because I don’t think a face is ever going to do that.
“And the minute you want to (do that) you’re on hiding to nothing, when you want to look 20, 30 years younger.”
Elsewhere in the interview, he also joked that the fake tanned cast of The Only Way Is Essex “made Donald Trump look like a Moomin”.
Norris featured in the ITVBe series between 2012 and 2021, and has also appeared on Celebrity SAS, Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Ghost Hunt and Celebs On The Farm.
