Ireland biggest garden festival is just around the corner as we get closer to the June Bank Holiday weekend.
The celebrated floral, food and family festival, which attracted 120,000 visitors last year, will feature 22 show gardens, 14 postcard gardens, over 100 Irish food and drink producers, 25 plant nurseries, and 25 live cookery demonstrations.
From bee-friendly gardens to Ireland’s first gin garden; water conservation to human rights issues; and health and wellness to the damage of plastics pollution in our oceans, Bloom by Bord Bia once again highlights the importance of horticulture in Ireland.
But if you can’t make it to the popular outdoor festival, don’t worry, you can catch it on the telly and radio from the comfort of your living room.
RTE has revealed the schedule for its live coverage of Bloom 2019.
From live television to live radio, from live music with the RTE Lyric FM Quartet to live weather reports and from panel discussions to children’s entertainment, RTE will present a full schedule of activities for all ages from Thursday to Monday.
Aine Lawlor and Marty Morrissey will be presenting Bloom Live on RTE One, and Marty Whelan who will present the first of RTE Lyric FM’s live broadcast with Marty in the Morning at 10.00am.
