Blink-182's Mark Hoppus announces he's beaten cancer and feels 'blessed'

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has announced he's beaten cancer.

The Feeling This artist, who revealed his cancer diagnosis in June, took to Instagram to share his good news saying: "Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!'

"Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love."

The 49-year-old continued: "Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed."

Mark's post was met with a flurry of support from his famous friends with musician John Mayer writing: "Just the best," while DJ Samantha Ronson wrote, "F*** yes!!!! I don’t even know you and this made MY day!!! Awesome!!!"

Mark spoke of his health battle in a June 23 tweet, saying: "It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this."

In July, the singer gave more detail to his diagnosis explaining he was suffering from diffuse large B-cell lymphoma stage four-A, which meant, as he understood it, the cancer had entered four different parts of his body.

He said: "I don't know how exactly they determine the four-part of it, but it's entered enough parts of my body that I'm stage four, which I think is the highest that it goes. So, I'm stage four-A.

"We’re beating this cancer - it’s just a matter of time."

Earlier this month the singer shared a picture of his scalp which showed his hair growing back white following chemotherapy treatment.

"I mean what the s*** is this?" he posted.

"Is my hair growing back white? If it does I wonder if I’ll look more like George Clooney or Doc Brown? I feel like this is still the cancery peach fuzz hair and maybe my normal hair will start growing again?

"It’s so strange to have hair growing back more on my head while my leg hair continues to fall out further and further down, now at the bottom of my shins.

"I’ve been in chemotherapy for five months and TODAY the hair on my shins decides it’s time to peace out? Cancer is weird."
