Blackpool 1-1 Sunderland ratings as Ross Stewart's goalscoring streak continues and Amad impresses

Sunderland came from behind to earn a point at struggling Blackpool. Shayne Lavery gave the Tangerines the lead midway through the first half, before Ross Stewart levelled midway through the second - scoring for the fourth game in a row since he returned from injury.

The Black Cats had hit the post through Amad and Stewart before hauling themselves level, and they pushed hard for a winning goal in the latter stages without success. Blackpool ended the game with ten men after defender Callum Connolly was sent off for a second bookable offence in injury-time.

The draw meant Sunderland slipped two places to sixth in the Championship table. Blackpool have now gone nine games without a win, although they moved up one place to third-bottom.
