Blackhawks defeat Coyotes, 3-1

CHICAGO _ After two scoreless periods, the Blackhawks scored three goals in the third Sunday during a 3-1 victory against the Coyotes at the United Center.

Tommy Wingels, Artem Anisimov and Nick Schmaltz each had a goal, while Patrick Kane had two assists to snap a four-game point-less streak.

Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford made 31 saves in his team's second win in a row.

Former Blackhawks goalie Antti Raanta made 33 saves during the Coyotes' 1-0 loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday did not play. And former Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson is out with an upper-body injury. He hasn't played since Nov. 28.

With Cody Franson out with an upper-body injury, Jordan Oesterle was paired with Duncan Keith. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Franson will be re-evaluated before the team's next game, Tuesday against the Panthers.

The Blackhawks are 14-11-5 for 33 points.

The Coyotes, who played their league-leading 21st road game, are 7-21-5 for 19 points.
