Modes

One of the biggest highlights in Season 3 is the return of Free Run to Call of Duty after over a decade. Last seen in Black Ops 3, this fan-favorite parkour mode arrives during the Season 3 Reloaded update, challenging players to race through obstacle courses that test movement, precision, and speed.
Alongside it, several classic modes are making a comeback. Demolition will be available at launch, while Aim High and Snipers Only are set to arrive later in the season.
Mid-season also introduces two limited-time modes, Heat Wave Havoc and Freeze Tag, both designed to bring unique mechanics to the standard multiplayer formula.
New Scorestreak: Ion Core
Available as a weekly challenge reward, the Ion Core is an area denial device that pulses damaging radiation for several seconds before resetting for the next pulse. The Ion Core spreads over a mid-sized radius, damaging enemies even through walls, great for protecting objectives and choke points, particularly in Hardpoint and Domination modes. Overclock upgrades are Plutonium Core, which extends duration for an additional pulse, and Chemical Catalyst, which shortens downtime between pulses.

BO7 Season 3 is introducing six new weapons:
- MK35 ISR assault rifle (unlockable via Battle Pass)

Multiplayer Ranked Play
BO7 Multiplayer Ranked Play continues for its second season, implementing settings and restrictions similar to Call of Duty League. Rack up Skill Rating (SR), climb the ranks, and grab new seasonal rewards, including weapon camos, blueprints, calling cards, and other exclusive cosmetics.
BO7 Zombies

Totenreich, a new round-based map, is arriving in Season 3 during the Reloaded update. The map is a “remote Norwegian fishing town trapped in time after Group 935 experiments warped the entire island into the Dark Aether.”
At launch, you can play on the new Survival map Ashwood, which is originally located within the central grounds of Ashes of the Damned. Complete rounds 10, 25, and 50 to earn an animated emblem, weapon charm, and the Hidden Power GobbleGum along with tons of XP.
Paradox Junction receives Directed Mode, providing you with on-screen quest steps and a max round cap of 15 when taking on the main quest. The Starting Room Mode also adds Paradox Junction, where you need to survive with minimal resources to unlock rewards. Cursed Mode includes the Ashwood Survival map, where you have a pistol start and limited HUD.

Zombie Battle, a new mode available at launch, pits four players in a free-for-all. In this PvPvE experience, you need to fight relentless waves of zombies and outsurvive your opponents using powerful skills.
The Ion Core scorestreak also arrives in BO7 Zombies as a support item, while the classic 1911 pistol is back, enabling you to fire explosive rockets at undead hordes when Pack-a-Punched. Mid-season also introduces Ultra-Rarity Legacy Weapon into the Mystery Box pool outside of Cursed Mode.
BO7 Endgame
Endgame becomes free-to-play for a limited time, allowing more players to try it out. Loadouts are now Operator-specific, meaning each character can have unique weapons, gear, and builds.
Progression systems are set to be reworked to offer more flexibility. You can reset your Combat Rating or Skill Tracks to experiment with new builds, while loss penalties from failed runs are now capped, making progression less punishing overall.

Season 3 also introduces Operations, a new objective-based system that spans multiple matches. The first one, Operation Poison Pill, rewards players with cosmetics, XP boosts, and new items as they complete structured challenges. The new Warband Skill Track allows you to summon allies, while the Thermal Spike Major Ability incinerates enemies Aether Blade Minor Ability enables you to hurl ricocheting projectile.
