Acts of vandalism fuelled by boozed-up parties have left neighbours at an Ayrshire park disgusted.
Large numbers of youngsters have been gathering in Kilmarnock's Howard Park to swill alcohol and cause mayhem in recent weeks.
The debauchery climaxed on Saturday with youths smashing bottles, burning park bins and stealing recycling trolleys from homes to torch.
One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said the disorder is getting out of hand.
The elderly local said: "I really am disgusted at the amount of vandalism in that park.
"The place was a total mess on Sunday with broken bottles and burnt out bins. It was awful.
"I've been told there was a considerable number of young folk drinking at the park late on Saturday night and they were throwing bottles setting fires."
And the resident, who stays near the park, fired a broadside at council workers who made a mess clearing up the debris, he claimed.
"You could argue that the council made a worse mess of the place," he added.
"They scooped up the melted bins and they've chewed up the grass with whatever vehicle they had in the park. It just seems like there's little consideration given.
"It feels like every day you wake up and there's something new that's been done to the park.
"The problem is that there's no deterrent for the people that are doing this."
An East Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: "Following reports of anti-social behaviour and fire damage at Howard Park, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire Council attended on the morning of Monday, March 14 to clear the area. The council carried out a further inspection of Howard Park that afternoon and removed additional debris.
"The council will continue to work closely with Police Scotland on this matter, providing any support required.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Around 9.20pm, police were called to a report of antisocial behaviour by a group of youths in Howard Park, Kilmarnock on Saturday night. Officers attended, however, there was no trace of anyone."
