Bin man caught on CCTV throwing rubbish out of bin and onto street

This is the moment CCTV caught a council bin man throwing rubbish from a resident's bin before leaving it on the street.

Farah Al Nemesh, 26, was furious when she returned home on May 6, and saw two bags of trash she had put into her bin, which had been left on the pavement.

When Farah saw her CCTV footage from outside her city centre house, she was livid when she knew the bin man took out the bags and left them there without returning to take them again.

Mum Farah was upset that the man’s actions would mean the rubbish would now be left in her bins for another two week before the the next collection day.

She said: “It is not expected from a man who is employed to clean our environment. This behaviour is not acceptable. There is already a rat problem in this area that now it is going to attract more rats and mice here.

“If it was too heavy, he could have just put into the truck after. It doesn’t make any sense why he would leave it on the floor. We pay our taxes, so why would they not carry out the service we pay for?”

Hull City Council has said they will be conducting a thorough investigation after being alerted of the incident by Hull Live.

A Hull City Council spokesperson said: “We appreciate this incident being brought to our attention and would encourage residents to report any problems to us directly.

“This is clearly not the procedure our staff should follow and we apologise to the residents concerned.

“We treat matters like this extremely seriously and will be conducting a thorough investigation.”
