When it comes to life hacks, replacing bin bags would seem too straightforward to be revolutionised - but one method has stunned people online.
The game-changer cuts out the time you'd otherwise spend shaking out the bag and wrangling it in a bin.
TikTok user @anna.antonje recently tried out the method in a video that's attracted 13.9million views and over two million likes.
The first part of the video shows an unnamed man showing off the technique.
He grips the bottom of the bin bag, then quickly slides it through his hand toward the top, which allows him to drop the now tube-shaped bag easily into the bin.
The viral video then cuts to Anna's shocked face before she heads to the bin to try it out herself. She copies the technique and exclaims "no way!" before slapping the bin shut.
The TikTok has garnered a whopping number of comments (almost 6,200), many of which were equally surprised by the hack.
One popular comment said: "18 years, 18 years of my life i lived without even considering this, it's so smart".
"This just made my job so much easier," another person wrote.
The method didn't shock everyone, however. Another top comment said: "I thought this was common knowledge".
A lot of the comments had to do with the text overlaid in the first part of the clip that demonstrated the trick. It said: "TikTok banned my first account after I got 12,000,000 views for this hack."
