Billy Gilmour may be one of the first names on the Scotland teamsheet nowadays but it seems not everyone is as appreciative of his precocious talents.
The 20-year-old has dazzled for Chelsea and his country since his Stamford Bridge breakthrough and a loan move to Norwich was tipped as a big step forward in his career.
Fans were foaming at the mouth to see him play regular league football for the first time - especially under a manager with a reputation for exciting football in Daniel Farke.
He started four out of his first five games after arriving but since then Gilmour hasn't had a look-in.
That's despite the team around him flailing at the bottom of the league and seemingly in need of a midfielder who can take games by the scruff of the neck.
Their 2-1 defeat to Leeds was the fifth league game in a row in which Gilmour was left out altogether and it left Norwich cut adrift at the bottom of the table.
Fans are desperate to see him unleashed - with some at Norwich feeling he'd be a clear upgrade on Scotland teammate Kenny McLean, who plays every week despite struggling for form.
Twitter user Kelly Whiting wrote: "Swap Gilmour in for Kenny, hopefully he can pass the ball, rather than just wave his arms around...."
Ben Symonds added: "Need someone to get on the ball more in the midfield and play that magic ball through to Pukki. Gilmour lace your boots up son!"
Alan T said: "How Billy Gilmour isn’t starting for that rank rotten Norwich side I’ll never know! Chelsea need to recall him and get him playing elsewhere."
And Jack McConnell wrote: "This Norwich team is one of the worst the premier league has ever seen and Billy Gilmour can’t even get a game, shocking management."
