Billie Joe Armstrong spotted at Glasgow gig ahead of Green Day Bellahouston show

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was spotted out and about in Glasgow ahead of tonight's huge show at Bellahouston Park.

The 50-year-old frontman was spotted by fellow gig-goers at the iconic Glasgow venue King Tut's Wah Wah Hut for New York singer songwriter Jesse Malin's gig. Other Green Day musicians were spotted alongside Armstrong at the show as they enjoyed a night off in the city following their show at Dublin's Marlay Park on Monday evening.

The American Idiot singer previously declared he was "renouncing" his American citizenship after the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade. Taking to the stage in London, he said: “There’s too much f***ing stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f**king excuse for a country” when he made his reveal.

They are in the city for tomorrow’s Hellamega tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. It was surreal to have Billie Joe Armstrong brush past me in such a tiny, but iconic, venue."

Thousands are set to flock to Bellahouston Park to see Green Day headline the Hellamega tour tonight, which will also see performances by Fall Out Boy, Weezer and Amyl & The Sniffers.
