Bill Murray Suggests Kristen Wiig Could Portray Him In SNL 1975

Bill Murray suggests Kenan Thompson, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, or Amy Poehler for his role.

Bill Murray, the iconic Hollywood actor, recently shared his thoughts on who he would like to see portray him in the upcoming Saturday Night Live (SNL) 1975 film. Murray mentioned that he would be pleased to have Kenan Thompson, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, or Amy Poehler play his character in the movie. This revelation came during the premiere of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, where Murray joined his former castmates.

The SNL 1975 film, directed by Jason Reitman, focuses on the original seven cast members of the show, also known as 'The Not Ready for Prime Time Players.' Murray, who joined SNL after Chevy Chase's departure, expressed his approval of the casting choices for the film.

Jason Reitman's project has already cast Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, the mastermind behind SNL. Additionally, the roles of the original SNL members have been assigned to talented actors such as Cory Michael Smith, Matt Wood, Dylan O’Brien, and Lamorne Morris.

Among the female cast members, Kim Matula, Emily Farin, and Ella Hunt will be portraying Jane Curtain, Laraine Newman, and Gilda Radner, respectively. Kristen Wiig, who was suggested by Murray himself, expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to play his character in the film.

While the release date for SNL 1975 is yet to be announced, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, featuring Bill Murray reprising his role as Peter Venkman, is set to hit theaters on March 22. Fans of both Murray and SNL can look forward to these exciting projects in the near future.
