The two made an appearance at the championship quarter final in June at Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Bill's outing comes as he prepares for the Pro-Am golf tournament in Adare Manor next week.

He will be taking part alongside big names such as Niall Horan, Jamie Dornan, Kenny Dalglish and Shane Filan. Also taking part will be professional golfers such as Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry.

Bill's appearance at the hurling match causes quite a stir, with many taking to social media to share that they saw the big star.

"Gas, one of the biggest cheers of the day was when Bill Murray came up on the big screen. He tried to hide," wrote one person.

Another wrote: "Bit mad to see Bill Murray at the All Ireland Hurling Semi-Final. I imagine he's enjoying it. Great game so far."

Another joked: "Is it safe to say we’ve adopted Bill Murray at this stage."

One person asked: "The big question: While in Ireland, will Bill Murray visit Mayo and see Kilmurray?"
