Bill Belichick’s daughter-in-law Jen Belichick has warrant out for her arrest in North Carolina

A North Carolina judge reportedly issued an arrest warrant on Monday for Jen Belichick, the daughter-in-law of former NFL head coach Bill Belichick, after she failed to appear in court for a speeding ticket.

Jen Belichick, who is married to University of North Carolina defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, was scheduled to appear in a Brunswick County court on Friday, according to court records reviewed by the California Post. Bill Belichick is now the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels football team; his son, Steve, is the defensive coordinator.

When Jen did not show up, the judge signed the order for her arrest.

The legal issue traces back to a May 21 traffic stop. According to court records, a state highway patrol trooper cited her for misdemeanor speeding after she was allegedly clocked driving a Jeep at 88 mph in a 70 mph zone. Because of the speed, a court appearance was required.

To resolve the active warrant, she must now either file a motion to recall the order, hire an attorney to represent her in court or turn herself in to authorities, a court official told the outlet.

Jen Belichick has been married to Steve Belichick for nearly a decade. The couple has several children.

She was also in the news following a November game between UNC and Stanford at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill. During that incident, she reportedly yelled at Jordan Hudson, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend criticizing her appearance and her relationship with the coach for nearly an hour.

She did not issue a public comment regarding that alleged dispute.
