Bike stuck on the tram line causes disruption to services in Nottingham

Trams have faced disruption after a bike became stuck in the track.

Police were called to the incident shortly after 10am on Sunday, July 12, on the tramline outside the Premier Inn, in Goldsmith Street, in the city centre, by the Nottingham Trent University campus.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Someone has got their bike stuck in the tram line."

Police said they were waiting from ambulance service to arrive after a person had fallen off.

NET tweeted about the incident to say trams were only able to go as far as The Forest tram stop from Hucknall and Phoenix Park.

NET tweeted at 11.10am to say services were back up and running.
