GAYA: Two students of a government primary school sustained injuries when a crude bomb exploded near the school at village Murgiyachak under Wazirganj block of the district on Saturday.
The villagers are scared after the incident. Some locals said, "We heard the noise of more bomb blasts on Friday night". Police are conducting investigation to ascertain, who is behind keeping bombs in the village. Wazirganj falls on bordering area of Rajgir and Nawada.
The injured kids, identified as Satyendra Kumar (10) of class IV and Neeraj Kumar (9) of class III, were admitted to Wazirganj primary health centre. Condition of the injured kids is said to be out of any danger. The kids sustained injury in their legs from the pellets of the bomb. Four other students fell unconscious after hearing the high intensity noise of the bomb blast. The blast took place near the school at around 10.30 am on Saturday.
Gaya SSP Harpreet Kaur said, "I received message about the bomb blast near a government school. Bomb disposal squad and sniffer dig squad has been sent to the spot. I am also going to the spot. The bomb was prepared in a small container of tobacco (zarda). The children were playing, when the bomb incidentally exploded".
"Police are conducting investigation. With the help of sniffer dogs, entire village is being searched to detect more such bombs, if any", the SSP said.
