A bigamist mum who had a child behind her husband’s back was spared a prison term today.
Brinda Kantamaneni, 42, hid her secret relationship with Matthew Hall, 45, from spouse Ravi.
She managed to conceal her pregnancy and entered an incorrect name on her child’s birth certificate.
The mum of three was told she could face jail when she admitted bigamy earlier this year.
But Judge Hannah Duncan let her walk free after the defendant was trapped in an unhappy arranged marriage.

The court heard Brinda’s husband, father and brother did not allow her to leave the marriage.
The judge said: “You were emotionally abused and emotionally manipulated.
“The reason you are here is that you lied in order to live the life with a man you are in love with.”
Isleworth Crown Court heard Brinda married Ravi in the US in 1999 when she was 20.
They moved to London where Ravi works for an international consultancy firm.
Brinda later fell in love with Matthew, who lived near her home in Ealing, West London.
They married at the local town hall.
The maximum term for bigamy is seven years’ jail but the computer consultancy boss got a 20-day “rehabilitation activity requirement”.
Brinda was reported for bigamy last year after her first marriage was dissolved in 2019.
She now lives with Matthew and their child, five, in Guildford, Surrey.
Brinda has not seen her two kids from the first marriage since 2018.
