Big changes could be on the way for the 2020 college football schedule. According to reports, the Big Ten is considering changing its football schedule for the 2020 season to a 10-game, conference-only schedule for the upcoming football season.
The news was first posted to social media by Inside NU (coincidentally, MSU is currently scheduled to start the season against Northwestern) who gave credit to Tom Dienhart of GoldandBlack.com.
This news came the same afternoon that we also heard that Ohio State will be pausing voluntary workouts due to an unreported number of positive COVID-19 test results in the last round of testing.
The Spartans currently have three non-conference match-ups for the 2020 season against BYU, Miami (Florida), and Toledo.
