Big-hearted former Thomas Cook staff help customers struggling with holiday refund claims

Former Thomas Cook staff have been helping customers who were left out of pocket by the collapse of the tour operator.

A group of workers from the Livingston Centre branch, which has been taken over by Hays Travel, organised two pop-up sessions to help customers complete refund forms and get their money back.

Thomas Cook customers can submit refund forms through the Civil Aviation Authority.

Karen Coventry, who was the manager of the Livingston branch, organised the events along with colleagues Lorna Bradley, Angela Copeland, Susanne Brydon, Megan Peters, Lindsay Anne Cook and Carrie Mcdougall.

She said: “The public’s support has been overwhelming. We’ve had so many gifts and messages wishing us all the very best.

“The team are all feeling fabulous because of how the community have got behind us and we’ve loved having the opportunity to support customers that we never got a chance to speak with given how quickly the company collapsed.”
